Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview

Startlek is a platform connecting participants with event organizers. Startlek itself does not collect registration fees from participants and therefore does not issue refunds directly. All refund policies are set and managed by the individual event Organizer.

2. Organizer-Set Refund Policies

Each event on Startlek has its own refund policy, determined by the event Organizer. This policy is displayed on the event registration page before you complete your purchase. By completing your registration, you acknowledge and accept the refund policy of that specific event.

3. Startlek Service Fee

Startlek charges a 5% platform service fee on each registration transaction. This fee is deducted from the organizer's earnings and is non-refundable under any circumstances, as it covers platform infrastructure, payment processing, and operational costs.

4. Registration Transfers

Some events allow participants to transfer their registration to another person. If this option is available, it will be shown on the event page. Transfer conditions (deadline, fee, if any) are set by the Organizer.

5. Event Cancellation by Organizer

If an Organizer cancels their event, participants are entitled to a full refund of the registration fee. The Organizer is solely responsible for processing such refunds. Startlek will make reasonable efforts to notify registered participants of a cancellation.

If an Organizer fails to issue a refund for a cancelled event, please contact Startlek Support at [email protected] — we will investigate and assist where possible.

6. Event Postponement or Modification

If an Organizer significantly changes event details (date, location, distance), the Organizer must communicate this to registered participants. Refund eligibility in such cases is determined by the Organizer's policy. Startlek is not liable for changes made by Organizers.

8. Payment Disputes
