Organizer Agreement

This Organizer Agreement ("Agreement") governs your use of the Startlek platform as an Event Organizer. By creating an organizer account and listing events on Startlek, you agree to this Agreement in addition to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

To become an Organizer on Startlek, you must:
— be at least 18 years of age;
— have legal authority to organize and manage public events in your jurisdiction;
— provide accurate information about your organization;
— obtain all necessary permits, licenses, and insurance for your events.

As an Organizer, you agree to:
— provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date event information including dates, locations, distances, pricing, and registration deadlines;
— not list events that are fraudulent, illegal, or that you do not have the right to organize;
— update event information promptly if any details change;
— clearly communicate your refund and cancellation policy before participants register.

Startlek charges a 1% service fee on each registration payment processed through the platform. This fee is automatically deducted from the registration amount.

The service fee covers:
— platform infrastructure and hosting;
— payment processing and security;
— participant management tools;
— technical support.

The service fee is non-negotiable and non-refundable.

Payments from participants are processed through Stripe (international) and Fondy (Ukrainian market) and are transferred directly to your account after deducting the 1% Startlek service fee and any payment processor fees.

Startlek does not hold participant funds. Payout timing depends on your payment processor's settlement schedule.

Your refund policyYou are solely responsible for defining and communicating your event's refund policy. Your refund policy must be:
— displayed clearly on the event registration page;
— honored consistently for all participants.

Event cancellationIf you cancel your event, you must:
— notify all registered participants immediately;
— issue full refunds of registration fees to all affected participants within a reasonable timeframe.

Failure to honor refund obligations may result in suspension of your Organizer account.

When a participant registers for your event, we share their registration information (name, email, and event-specific fields they provided) with you.

You agree to:
— use participant data only for the purpose of organizing and managing your event;
— not sell, share, or use participant data for marketing without explicit consent;
— comply with applicable data protection laws (GDPR for EU/EEA participants);
— delete participant data when it is no longer needed for event operations.

As an Organizer, you must not:
— list events with false or misleading information;
— collect registration fees for events you do not intend to hold;
— use the platform to process payments for non-event-related purposes;
— discriminate against participants on the basis of protected characteristics;
— use participant data in violation of privacy laws.

You retain ownership of content you create (event descriptions, photos, etc.). By posting content on Startlek, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display it on the platform.

You represent that you own or have the rights to all content you post and that it does not infringe third-party rights.

Startlek reserves the right to suspend or terminate an Organizer account if the Organizer:
— provides false event information;
— fails to issue refunds for cancelled events;
— violates these terms or the general Terms of Service;
— receives consistent participant complaints indicating fraud or negligence.

In cases of suspected fraud, account suspension may be immediate without prior notice.

Startlek is a platform provider and is not a co-organizer of your events. Startlek is not liable for:
— injuries or deaths arising from your events;
— logistical failures of your events;
— participant disputes arising from your events.

You agree to indemnify Startlek against any claims arising from your events or your violation of this Agreement.

We may update this Agreement from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or platform notification. Continued use of Organizer features after the effective date of updates constitutes acceptance.
